Early Intervention
Early intervention is a program to identify & evaluate as early as
possible those infants and toddlers (0-3years) whose healthy development are compromised and provide for
appropriate intervention to improve child and family development.
Early intervention is the therapeutic mode for the children under 5 yrs, who have been diagnosed with
“developmental problems” or who are “at risk”. Early Interventionist is well qualified professional for
providing a holistic treatment to the children including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy,
Cognitive therapy and Sensory integration.
Developmental problem includes
• Cerebral palsy (spastic, hypotonia, quadriplegia, hemiplegia)
• Post meningitis and post epileptic sequelae.
• Developmental delays (child is delayed in achieving motor, speech and fine motor milestones)
