Autism
Autism is a neurobehavioral and developmental disorder which affect all the areas of the development of child. Although the presentation varies form child to child but, mainly it is recognised by poor social skills, delayed speech development and poor communication skills and stereotypical behaviour. It is a life long disability. It can happen at birth, or a child may have a period of normal development followed by a deterioration of verbal and social skills around 1 1/2-2 1/2 years.
Early Intervention
Early intervention is a program to identify & evaluate as early as possible those infants and toddlers (0-3years) whose healthy development are compromised and provide for appropriate intervention to improve child and family development.
Red Flag Signs
Child development is amazing. All the developmental milestones are fixed but flexible. Many a time child does not follow the sequence and time but most of the children follow the predictable developmental sequence. Parents should always keep a track of their child development and should know the red flag signs.
Sensory integration
Sensory integration is a neurological process that helps in receiving, modulating and organizing the sensation from one's own body and the environment, for an adaptive behavior. Specifically, it deals with how the brain processes multiple sensory modality inputs into usable functional outputs. It is a normal process and it happens in all of us. It helps a person be adaptive in environment. Sensory Integration is necessary for almost every activity that we perform in effective manner.
Visual therapy
Vision therapy is a type of physical therapy for the eyes and brain. It is very effective to the children with vision difficulties and visual problems associated with developmental delay. Children with developmental disabilities and learning disability improve with vision therapy. For young children with developmental delay vision stimulation should be given as a part of early stimulation or therapy plan. Parents should be guided for environmental modification, posture correction and vision stimulation.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps in controlling movement and posture, and balance problems. It facilitates the learning of gross motor movements to the children with developmental delay. Physiotherapy plays a central role in managing the condition, to inhibit abnormal reflexes and patterns of movement, to reduce the spasticity, preventing the complications and achieving the motor control and various developmental milestones.

Speech Therapy
The speech therapist is a trained and qualified professional who treat the difficulty or speech production. They assess the people with speech problem and helps them. For children the speech therpaist needs to be specilaized in child development and techniques to teach and improve the speech and communication in children.
Assessment
Assessment is “the process of gathering sufficient information about individuals and their environments to make informed decisions about intervention.” (Christiansen & Baum, 1992, p.376). Assessment is core to the delivery of medical or therapy services. For deciding the problem, its severity, treatment and management depend on the assessment. The right and valued treatment is based on correct assessment.
Assessment serves as the foundation for the recommendation, professional opinion, and referral. Assessment should be a comprehensive and consistent process. Its duration varies from one to number of sessions. It is based on the principles and competencies of therapy for the specific and desired services and needs of the individual client. Assessment is an ongoing process.
Reassessment is an integral process of assessment. Reassessment assesses the effectiveness of previous diagnosis and its treatment. Report of the outcome of assessment and reassessment is documentation.
Reflex Inhibition
Bobaths found that the main problem with children with CP and brain damaged is inability to inhibit the primitive reflexes and facilitate the balance and equilibrium reactions. Because of persistence of primitive reflexes, the posture and movement reactions do not develop.
NDT helps in reduction of spasticity by inhibiting abnormal tone, reflexes and facilitation of normal and postural reflexes. It helps in facilitation of milestones in developmental delay children. It also helps in children with learning disorder, autism and ADHD by reflex inhibition specially ATNR, STNR and moro's reflex
